Fanjita’ EBOOT loader v0.9

Fanjita has released a new improved version of his popular EBOOT loader for firmware version 2.0 - this will allow you to run select PSP homebrew apps and games on your version 2.0 PSP.

What's new? from the readme.txt:

• Added wifi support! Now the loader auto-detects if the wifi libraries are loaded (via the wifi load method above) and offers them to homebrew for use.
• Added call to application exit callback, to allow RIN etc. to save state when L+R+START reset is used.
• Added memory reset after running the menu. This should make things much less sensitive to whatever has been run before them. Can be turned off in config.
• Added memory reset on exit - this might make it easier to restart the loader.
• Added config option to fake success code from unknown functions
• Added clock-speed option to the config file, to allow automatic overclocking / underclocking of applications.

Please note - this DOES NOT work on firmware version 2.01+

PSP-OSS v0.1 released

After a long time of waiting, PSP-OSS v0.1 is here! This is the first version of the much anticipated open source shell.

The current version includes the following features:

MP3/OGG music player
PNG/JPG image viewing, up to 512×512 resolution
Boot any kxploited EBOOT.PBP file, and return to the shell afterwords
Open, cut, delete, paste, and rename files off of the memory stick
Run the inserted UMD and return to the shell afterwords
USB mode
Access time and date information
Shortcuts - View shortcut.ql in Notepad for an example

PSP Media Player XviD Demo for PSP

jonny has updated his and JiniCho's PMP (PSP Media Player) today. In this demo release, he has implemented a few new things he has been working on. Included is an XviD trailer of Hellboy (encoded in mpeg4 sp), at 480x272, 23.976fps and around 800kpbs. The audio is mp3 stereo, cbr 128kbps, 44100hz.

He notes that on his tests he is pushing clips with 1800–2000kbps with no speed problems as well. The trailer plays very smooth and with awesome quality, a great piece of work!

UMD RIPPER v2.5 English

B.Cruisr3k his hex edited English version of Lande's popular UMD Ripper. Here's what he had to say:

i used a hex editor to do a quick translation for UMD ripper and thought you might want to post it for people that dont know spanish. i left the "about" page the same but added my name to the "ingles" page. some words would have been better than the ones i chose but i wanted to keep the strings the same length. just replace the exe file in the install directory and run it.

That's it! Simply replace the UMD Ripper executable with this one, and you've got english!
